Join North Texas Metroplex Children’s Choir

Through founder/executive director Ann Smith’s leadership, vision and musical expertise, the North Texas Children’s Choir has grown to include 225 students representing 20 North Texas schools. With the addition of the Texas Youth Chorale in 2013 and the Texas International Choral Festival in 2018, the Choirs have a reputation as high-level singers that perform in Dallas at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and throughout the world.

Ann’s skills, innovative teaching style and dedication to her students is evident in the performance repertoire. Choir members study and sing challenging works in a variety of languages by composers ranging from Bach to Dilworth. Recent choral projects include the annual Texas Youth Chorale Christmas Concert featuring the “Ceremony of Carols,” an extended work by Benjamin Britten.

The nonprofit has a 12-member executive board.

Their core values are:  love, truth, self control, harmony, joy, passion, perseverance, kindness, faithfulness, peace, patience, service, follower/leader and thankfulness.

This is an after-school program from NTMCC working jointly with music teachers in various schools. Contact admin@ntchoirs.com or ann@ntchoirs.com for details about how to audition, calendar dates and performances.
