The Ninth Annual North Texas Turkey Trot is Coming

The North Texas Turkey Trot, benefiting The Miracle League of Frisco, takes place on Nov. 28 as a Thanksgiving Day tradition in the heart of Frisco, 5500 Frisco Square Blvd. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and offers a 5K, 10K and Miracle Mile option—even an option for walkers.

Since 2005, the nonprofit staff at The Miracle League of Frisco has provided local children ages 5-19 with mental and/or physical challenges the opportunity to play sports as a member of an organized league. 

Texas Legends’ Winning Hoops ’10’ Schedule Starts This Month

The new 50-game basketball schedule for the Texas Legends’ historic 10th season begins this month. The Legends’ team members travel to Memphis on Nov. 8 and then host the Hustle in their home opener Nov. 9 at the Comerica Center in Frisco. Stay tuned for special surprises that come with the decade anniversary celebration for the 2019-20 season. 

In the upcoming season, the Legends’ team will play 24 home games, 24 road games and two neutral site games at the NBA G League Showcase (schedule and details will be announced at a later date). During November, there will be four home and six away games. The Legends’ longest home stretch is two four-game series spanning Jan. 3–17 and Jan. 31–Feb. 8.

Miss A Cosmetics Opening in Frisco

Miss A cosmetics store is slated to open this fall at Stonebriar Centre, 2601 Preston Road, in Suite 1162.

The store offers AOA Studio products for $1, including makeup made from FDA-approved ingredients, beauty tools and accessories. Proceeds from products that cost more than $1 go toward charitable causes, such as fighting against animal abuse and supporting children’s education. Miss A was founded in 2013 in Dallas. Norma’s Cafe Offers Thanksgiving Home-Cooking

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and spend time with family and friends.
