Annual Friscovania is Coming Oct. 26 Free to Attendees
In 2012, Model Behaviors—under Toni Muñoz-Hunt’s leadership—launched an online community of women helping women. After losing Kelly Whaley, a Model Behaviors member, to breast cancer in May 2016, the group focused on granting organizations about women and children in transition to model behaviors for healthy, productive lives. Through Friscovania, created in memory of Kelly, proceeds go to deserving community organizations.
Friscovania 2019 marks the fourth year for this community event and partnership with FC Dallas. It debuted as Frisco’s Safe Trick-or-Treat Zone. Friscovania.com

Bonjour to Tulla Patisserie and Cafe
This fall offers the opportunity to secure classic French- and American-inspired bread and pastries in Frisco, along with autumn-themed beverages, at 12020 Teel Parkway. Co-owner Jennifer Bezdek describes Tulla Patisserie and Cafe as a neighborhood bakery.
Customers get a front-row seat to the bakery’s open floor plan, which Jennifer indicates was intentionally designed to showcase the dedication of her staff’s efforts. Frisco Arts Awards First ‘Excellence’ Scholarship
Violinist Nikki Naghavi is the 2019 recipient of the first “Excellence in Arts Service” Scholarship through Frisco Arts.
“Frisco Arts has been a place to express my deep love and gratitude for music,” Nikki says. “Without the help of Frisco Arts, I wouldn’t have been able to advance my skills to have qualified to be accepted into highly competitive programs. As I continue my musical journey at the New England Conservatory in Boston, I’ll continue arts advocacy and give back to Frisco, the place that made me who I am.”
