The New Face of Ebby Halliday Companies

There are big shoes to fill when it comes to providing a new president and CEO of Ebby Halliday Companies, and as of October 2018, the company found the right person. Chris Kelly, a Kansas City native, has many years experience in the real estate world. With the knowledge he brings from all perspectives of the business, he is looking forward to preserving Ebby’s legacy of excellence in client relationships.

With the DFW market being as large as it is, what is one piece of advice you would give to buyers?

Expect to see inventory challenges at certain price points. Having a trusted agent by your side will help to navigate those challenges. 

What do you like about doing business in the DFW area? 

DFW offers a pro-growth, pro-business culture. While many regions around the country are feeling the effects of people departing, we’re feeling the positive effects of new people arriving each day.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

I may not look like the typical triathlete, but I have actually completed two full IronMan Triathlons as well as five 70.3 IronMans. 

What are some of your other passions or hobbies?

Spending time outdoors with my family reconnecting with nature. 

What does family life look like?

I am married to my incredible wife, Melinda, and we have three children: Chloe, 15; Hadley, 7; and Jack, 4.
