The Party of the Year

If you want to have a ton of fun all packed into one afternoon, come to the Party of the Year on Tuesday, April 3 from 12 – 3 P.M. The Friends of the Frisco Library will host this event which includes a full lunch catered by Babe’s Chicken, a silent auction, and live cowboy poetry recitations courtesy of Theatre Frisco. Emerald City – A Royale Experience

Acrylic Mediums and 
Techniques I & II

When you use Acrylics, there are different mediums that you can use. These two workshops introduce you to the various types and teach you how to use glazing mediums, gel mediums, course and fine textured mediums and polymer mediums. You have the option to take one or both of the Acrylic workshops and all materials are included no matter which option you choose. One class is $75 and two classes is $125. There is a discount offered if you take both. Acrylic Mediums and Techniques I is on April 8, and Acrylic Mediums and Techniques II is on April 15. Both classes are from 2 – 5 P.M. Career Exploration Fair 2018

The 2018 Career Exploration Fair will showcase various employers to prospective workers in the Collin County area and beyond. It will be on Thursday, April 12 from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. The fair will be hosted by the Collin County Community College District which is a student and community-centered institution committed to developing skills, challenging the intellect, and strengthening character. Registration is a $100 per person and includes access to the Career Fair, lunch, two chairs, two 4’ x 1.5’ tables, and a thank you goodie bag. Downtown Frisco StrEATS Festival

If you want to shop at some of the most unique and interesting boutiques and eat some of the best food truck food in North Texas, you have to check out the Downtown Frisco StrEATS Festival. This is a free, family-friendly event from 12 – 7 P.M. on Saturday, April 14. It will feature some of the most popular gourmet food trucks, live music, and a 
variety of vendor booths.

Texas Big Star Half Marathon, 
5K, and 1 Mile

If you want to participate in a half marathon, 1 mile, and 5K race, you have to go to the 3rd Annual Texas Big Star race. This year, the race will start at the Collin College Preston Ridge Campus and end with an entertaining post-race Finisher Fest. It will also help benefit local charity partners.
