Outfitting FC Dallas Players
When you think of the pride in the city of Frisco, there are several attributes you can name, be it our excellent schools, restaurants, and of course entertainment. FC Dallas is a big part of that Frisco pride. Originating in 1996 by the Hunt Sports Group, FC Dallas has hosted hundreds of soccer games from March thru November each year. Toyota Stadium, home of FC Dallas, was one of the very first professional soccer stadiums built in the U.S. It is currently undergoing construction to also hold the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
What makes a great team? Great players and coaching staff, of course. And there is no shortage of them on the FC Dallas Team. Showcasing the men’s fashion from Pockets Menswear, Maximiliano Urruti (Forward); Roland Lamah (Midfielder) and Hernan Grana (Defender) are a few examples of that greatness.
Maximiliano Urruti – Forward
Maximiliano (often called Maxi) joined the team in 2015 during the 1st round. He began his professional soccer career in Argentina, and would later venture to the U.S. to play for the Portland Timbers before coming to Frisco. He is currently the club’s lead scorer. He is also one of the most engaging and vocal players on the team. One example is when he knew his wife was having a baby, to announce it, after a goal he scored, he took the soccer ball and placed it under his shirt and sucked his thumb simultaneously. The other players would just say, “Yep, that’s Maxi!”
Roland Lamah – Midfielder
Roland Lamah is a wonderful addition to the team. Roland comes from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa. He started his soccer career playing in Belgium at the age of 16, and made his way to Frisco in December of 2016. Off the field, he has his hands full. He is married with four little girls. He enjoys heading back to the Ivory Coast to visit his family, and enjoying the African food and music.
Hernan Grana – Defender
Hernan Grana came to FC Dallas this February. As FC Dallas Technical Director Fernando Clavijo stated, “We feel that Hernan will feel very much at home here in Dallas.” He’s been a wonderful addition to the team so far. Before coming to Frisco, he played for Argentina, and still has a brother who actively plays back home. Off the field, he spends time with his wife and two kids, Santi and Thomas.
