Emmitt Smith Gran Fondo

The Emmitt Smith Gran Fondo will be held on September 30th starting at The Dr. Pepper Ballpark. This is a premier multi-course cycling event for both professional and recreational riders that includes a timed race for the 100-mile course with a $10,000 cash prize. With 100k, 45-mile, 22-mile, and family ride courses as well, the event will close with a post-race party that features a beer garden, live entertainment, awards ceremony, and family activities.

Ebby’s 9th Annual Charity 
Golf Tournament –

On September 18, 2017 from 11:00 am-9:pm,The Ebby Halliday Frisco Office invites the public to come and enjoy a charity golf event with raffles, food, drinks, prizes, and even a silent auction at the Stonebriar Country Club. Each golfer will receive 18 holes on the exclusive and luxurious country club course along with a deluxe goodie bag and gourmet lunch and dinner. All proceeds of the tax-deductible will benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, which treats patients with orthopedic conditions like scoliosis and neurological disorders like dyslexia. Shawnee Trail Cowboy Day

Come celebrate the early days of Frisco on September 30th from 11:00 am-4:00 pm at the Frisco Heritage Museum when cowboys traveled Collin County’s Shawnee Trail at the Heritage Association of Frisco’s annual fundraiser. Enjoy armadillo races, stagecoach rides, petting zoos, pony rides, Western photo booths, arts & crafts vendors, pioneer reenactments, blacksmith demonstrations, food trucks, music, and more at the daylong event! All historical structures in the Heritage Center will remain open to the public for the occasion along with a quilt show and steer roping station. Admission is $5 and free for children under two.

Grand Opening of Cork & Growler

On September 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon the Cork & Growler Bar will host it’s Grand Opening event! They will have forty-five craft beers on tap with 70% from local microbreweries. There will be BBQ from Tu Bones BBQ and wine on tap. The dog-friendly bar will also offer a menu of gourmet dog treats with ice cream and root beer floats from Simba’s Bakery. All ages are welcome!

The Dallas Opera 
Simulcast of LA TRAVIATA

The Dallas Opera is thrilled to announce the sixteenth in its series of free public simulcasts, the classic romance LA TRAVIATA, by Giuseppe Verdi. The special presentation at beautiful Klyde Warren Park, Downtown Dallas, takes place Friday, October 27, 2017 (program begins at 6:30 p.m., “curtain time” 7:30 p.m.). It is a live opera  simulcast, on a large high definition video screen, of the production being performed in the
Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Fun fact: The principal trumpet player John Holt is from Frisco and will be playing in the orchestra for La Traviata.
