Eat, Dance, Golf and more!

If you don’t have plans on the days of September 21st- 24th, you do now, if you do have plans, cancel them! You don’t want to miss out on the festival of the year. The four day, fun-filled event, Frisco’s 1st Annual BukUFest 2017!

BukU Modernist Cuisine was founded by two friends, Food Network Celebrity Executive Chef, Cris Sanchez and CEO, Nate Couser. They formed their business in August 2015 in Frisco. They have incorporated the art and science of cooking into the physical transformation of food. They use an avant-garde method of cooking with links to molecular gastronomy. This ensures the cuisine experience for each individual is a healthy and enjoyable one.

The mission of BukU Modernist Cuisine is to bring community involvement into the culinary experience.

This is how BukUFest Group was introduced. The entertainment sector of BukU Cuisine. The vision is to be placed in over sixteen markets eventually; including cities such as Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles.

To kick off the BukUFestivals, Frisco is lucky enough to be hosting the 1st Annual Fest!

With over 23 artists, celebrities, a cooking competition and golf tournament, there is something for everyone in this four-day extravaganza.

On Thursday, September 21st, there will be a Chef Competition, The Mad Scientist Show. Several celebrity guest judges from the likes of The Food Network will be present as they crown the best chef in three separate categories: Best Youth Chef, Best Professional Chef and Best Hospitality Chef. You don’t want to miss who is crowned “The Mad Scientist.” As the competition is going on there will be live entertainment from famous comedians, musical artists and celebrities. Be sure to arrive with your appetite as there will be food samples set up in surrounding booths from 50-100 top restaurants.

For all you golf fans, Friday is for you. Grab those golf clubs and come join in on the fun at the BukUFest celebrity golf tournament at the Stonebriar Country Club at the Fazio Course. Spend the tournament with our very own Mayor Jeff Cheney. The Women’s Golf Clinic will be held in the same location from 9:00-11:30 am.

If football is more your speed, then head on over to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark. This day will offer plenty of games, food, beverages for the entire family. Jumbo screens will be set up with college football games playing. To cool off from the fun filled day, enjoy the various stadium suites as well as the Lazy Pool inside the stadium.

The Art, Science, Technology through Culinary Expedition Walk will offer excitement. Vendors from all around will get a chance to showcase their items. Grab the family and come enjoy BukU Family day!

That evening, dress in your best and head on down to the newly opened, Omni Frisco at The Star for the bukU Blue Carpet Dinner Gala Affair. Celebrities, professional athletes, and city officials will be dancing to the great sounds from the likes of world famous artist, The Mark Harper Project. They will pay tribute to the late Wayman Tisdale. In BukU Group’s “Salute To Veterans” there won’t be a dry eye in the house as they present a military salute and award to a military fallen soldier.

Saturday, it’s time to have fun with the whole family! Head over to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark for a tailgate, then fun filled BukUFest “Family Day” at the ballpark. Come stand in the dugout, sample food from delicious food trucks and more!

BukU Group wants to make sure everyone gets a chance to meet the celebrities and artists that will be appearing over the course of the four day festivities. This is your chance! At the Dr. Pepper Arena, come meet and take photos with your favorites! Show them that Frisco love!

We’ve all been asked, “what type of music do you like, right?” This fun filled day will cover everyone’s music tastes as BukUFest hosts two concerts with all the genres of music covered: Jazz, R&B, Country, Pop, Gospel, Hip Hop and Contemporary Rock. The top American Idol and Voice contestants will also be there. So fun!

As if those days didn’t have enough fun, Sunday will still offer more! In the Dr. Pepper Arena, there will be a musical play Cheesecake Boiz & The Diva The Off-Broadway Musical.

BukU Group is involved with a number of charities including, several Women charities, youth programs, Frisco Family Services, Mimi’s Pantry, and the Frisco Arts to name a few.
